The 2018 Wine Marketing & Tourism Conference will take place October 23 – 25 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California at the Flamingo Resort. We have a special group rate of $169, which is excellent for wine country in October and includes a pass to the connected Montecito Heights Fitness Club. Book your hotel room here or call the hotel directly at 707-545-8530 and reference the group: Wine Marketing & Tourism Conference. Many of you who are local already know the Flamingo, which is an historical hotel with a retro vibe. We love it because of its facilities (meeting rooms, huge swimming pool, and the full-service health club) and its affordable price for you, our attendees. We will provide more information soon on booking your hotel room.
Content & Theme
The Wine Marketing & Tourism Conference will offer three content tracks in 2018:
- Wine Marketing
- Wine Tourism
- Wine Events
The goal of the conference is to provide concrete, actionable information you can take home to improve your own operations. New in 2018, we are also offering three-hour “Best Practices Summits” for the following groups, in which you will learn from industry leaders, hear from your peers, and provide your own best practices tips:
- Tasting Room Managers
- Event Managers
- Wine Tour Operators
- Destination Management Organizations
- Winery Associations
Wine Bloggers Conference
The Wine Bloggers Conference will take place October 4 – 7 in Walla Walla, Washington. While the two conferences are not back to back this year, we encourage you to attend both events and potentially sponsor the Wine Bloggers Conference. For sponsorship information contact Reno Walsh at reno@ZephyrConferences.com.
Arrival and Departure
You have multiple options if you are flying in from outside the area and we suggest you check flights to the Sonoma County, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, and Sacramento airports. If you arrive at Sonoma County Airport, you can easily take a taxi or Uber to the hotel. If you fly into one of the other more major airports, you will need to rent a car (you won’t need it during the conference but it can be convenient for arrival and departure) or take a shuttle. Area shuttles include Airport Express, GO Airport Shuttle, and Super Shuttle.
For a sample of past agendas, speakers, and sponsors please see our page on Past Conferences.
