For the past 17 years, the mission of Touring & Tasting Marketing and Media has been promoting tourism to the wine regions of North America. The Oregon Tourism Commission, doing business as Travel Oregon, is a semi-independent agency created by the Oregon Legislature in 2003 to enhance Oregonians’ quality of life by strengthening economic impacts of the state’s $8.7 billion tourism industry. The Travel Oregon staff develops and implements a biennial strategic marketing plan and cooperates extensively with local communities, industry associations, government agencies, and private businesses in the implementation of this plan. Travel Oregon is sponsoring a lunch at the 2013 Wine Tourism Conference.
The Oregon Wine Board represents the state’s 400-plus wineries and 800-plus vinifera vineyards. While Oregon’s famous pinot noir represents over half the tonnage of grapes produced, Oregon is a diverse wine-producing state where grape growers cultivate over 70 varieties in three primary regions: the Willamette Valley, Southern Oregon, and Eastern Oregon. The Oregon Wine Board will sponsor an Oregon Wine Reception during the conference.
The mission of WineAmerica is to encourage the dynamic growth and development of American wineries and winegrowing through the advancement and advocacy of sound public policy. The Association also provides membership services to assist wineries with a variety of business operations. With more than 800 members from 48, states WineAmerica is the only wine trade association with national membership.

The Washington State Wine Commission represents every licensed winery and every wine grape grower in Washington State. Guided by an appointed board, the Commission provides a marketing platform to raise positive awareness of the Washington State wine industry and generate greater demand for its wines. Funded almost entirely by the industry – through assessments based on grape and wine sales – the Commission is a state government agency.
The Wine Bloggers Conference is an annual gathering of over 300 wine bloggers and other wine industry members who are interested to learn more about social media marketing. Now in its sixth year, the 2013 conference will be held June 6-8 in Penticton, British Columbia.
