From 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Monday, November 6 the Wine Marketing & Tourism Conference will host a three-hour workshop and networking event for wine, food, and beer tour operators.
This workshop has successfully been held in the past including in 2014 in Paso Robles, in 2015 in Virginia, and in 2016 in Texas. By far the most valuable feature of these workshops has been the sharing of best practices among participants. Topics to be discussed include:
- Selecting a niche
- Identifying your target market
- Insurance
- Employees
- Guides
- Pricing
- Marketing
- Selecting tour locations
- Running great tours
- Soliciting feedback
There are no presenters at this workshop. The participants themselves are the source of knowledge and this is what makes the event so powerful. I will be the moderator and will be participating with my 20 years of running two tour companies, including wine, beer, and food tours around the world.
The workshop is applicable both to those running local tours for inbound travelers and to those operating vacation tours. Wine, beer, and food tour operators are all welcome. Participants will range from those interested to enter the industry to those with many years of experience.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from, compare yourself to, and contribute towards your peers!
